Dornier by Hanhart - the cockpit on your wrist
To a connoisseur of aeronautical engineering the brand new, hot from the press Hanhart chronograph is clearly reminiscent of the Dornier DoX, built in 1929 and the largest waterplane of all time. The flamboyant design does the aviation legend justice. The depiction of the distinctive Dornier wing parts on the case lends the watch an air of history and originality with its own unique character.

How did this come about? Irén Dornier, a passionate aviator and the owner of an airline, wanted to show his reverence for the pioneering work of his grandfather, the legendary aeronautical engineer, which had taken place a good eight decades earlier. The form: a unique pilot chronograph. The quality: visionary perfection. The partner of choice: Hanhart, pioneers like Dornier. And the result is an unmistakable pilot chronograph, whose highest technical standards correspond with those of Claude Dornier’s aircraft. Particularly interesting for pilot chronograph freaks, who always want to avoid fuel problems during landing maneuvers: for the landing approach run under instrument flying the first seven minutes are shown very legibly on a small scale at the top of the dial. The calculation of the fuel reserve is made possible and even simplified by the use of a small round minute display which shows the particularly important points 30 and 45 minutes. There are now no obstacles to successfully obtaining that pilot’s license with a precise landing. And that with the help of a truly tastefully designed chronograph. With its perfect aesthetic styling Hanhart demonstrates once more its pioneering and innovating spirit combined with the highest standards of craftsmanship.
